Cozumel Drone Footage

Photography/Videography is a hobby that I’ve enjoyed on and off for the past 10 years. In late 2018, I decided to get a drone! After much research, I landed on the DJI Mavic Air and I couldn’t be happier! It has great video quality, a great app, and is very easy to use.

Since I got the drone, I’ve been using it on and off at locations close to home. Here are a couple of videos I shot close to home.

The first one is at a small ravine close to where I live. This was the week I got the drone and you can see me maneuvering it around to get it down between the trees.

The second one is over a river. This is an unedited video that was taken within a couple of weeks of purchasing the drone. You can see that I was still getting used to the controls.

And now, finally to the reason why I posted this! I took the drone with us on our vacation to Cozumel, Mexico (after checking local laws and ensuring I was flying in permitted zones). It was such a great decision to do so. I filmed 40-50 minutes' worth of material, and I decided to start editing this time rather than just sharing raw footage, so here is my first attempt at video editing!
